Update (9/29/20)
So here's a bulleted list of what the Pokémon Company announced today through YouTube. As always, check out their official website for all of the latest information and facts.
- The Crown Tundra DLC will be release on Thursday, October 22, 2020.
- You'll be able to play with some legendary Pokémon from past games. 56 of them were shown in the video and you can find a picture of them below! Many of them will be found in Dynamax Battles in caves which you can team up with 3 other trainers to explore. This should also mean that if you already have them in Pokémon Home that you can finally imprt them into the game, right? I guess we'll have to wait a few more weeks to findout, huh?
- There's a Galarian Star Tournament at the end of the story where you can choose your partner from trainers you've met in a battle royale.
- On Friday, November 6, 2020, Pokémon Sword & Shield will be released with their respective expansion passes as a single game that you can purchase. They show the cartridge version so I'm guessing that you'll be able to download them from the Nintendo eShop.
- There are 8 didferent pikachus being released as mystery gifts that you'll be able to find soon. Each will be wearing a different Ash Catchem hat. You can find all the details about this on their webpage here. The first TWO are available now!
- The link between Pokémon Go and Pokémon Home is coming. Soon you'll be able to transfer your Pokémon from Go to Pokémon Sword or Shield through Pokémon Home. There will be special Pokémon that you get for this transfer as well.
How To Get the FIRST TWO PIKACHU Wearing Ash’s Caps in Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield
Use these steps, along with one of the above passwords, to receive each form of Ash's Pikachu.

Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.

Select Mystery Gift on the X menu.

Select Get a Mystery Gift.

Select Get with Code/Password to connect to the internet.

Enter your password.

Watch as the gift arrives in your game. (Pokémon will appear in your party or your Pokémon Boxes.)

Be sure to save your game.
