Maneater Video Game Review for Busy Dads
Watch The First 13 Minutes of the Gameplay
The Good
So, what’s not fun about being a shark who gets to run rampant through the bayou and city, right? Even though there’s plenty people, fish, turtles, seals, etc. to ravage, you definitely have your share enemies and challenges to face as you grow. This is what makes the game rewarding. That and the fact that you can level up your body with cool bone armor and electricity. There’s also a loose story mode with plenty of side missions and collectibles, which makes for the perfect pickup and put down game for busy dads.
The Bad
In my opinion, the controls take some time to get used to. Because you’re in water the up and down controls are inverted. Also, the camera angles get really funky when you attack boats or fighting with one of the quicker enemies; which seems to happen a lot. And the controller layout doesn’t seem natural. I’m a seasoned gamer and I need to reacclimate myself with the controls every time I play the game.
